DMedi basic overview of Nurse Call components

A schematic illustrating components of a basic Nurse Call System. It is completely scalable and can be configured for different scenarios.

1 Central Controller and peripherals

The intelligent Med-Mux is the interface between the bed controllers and the Nursing Station. The Med-Mux has several IO and an audio output, can store offline logs, connect to IP networks and has an option for cloud connectivity.

3 HMI Nurse Station

The Nursing Station can display both Nurse Calls and relevant Alarm inputs. We provide the necessary framework, tools and API for complete customisation by the installer. More rigid custom station options with vandal proof status LEDs can also be provided.

4 Bed Controller and Connectivity

The intelligent Bed Controller available in 2 hardware options features built-in self-diagnostics and several IO for interface to the Bed head units, Bathroom call units, patient wearables, Light control and TV control. The DMedi Mobile Application allows for easy configuration of the various peripheral interface parameters. Our connectivity solution allows for pluggable interfaces, modular termination and diagnostics.
